Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs to file 1099s electronically?
If you have 10 or more information returns to file in a calendar year, you must file electronically per IRS regulations. We recommend electronic filing for everyone -- it's faster and more accurate.
Is this platform affiliated with the IRS?
No. We are an independent, authorized electronic filing platform that submits your forms to the IRS through their official IRIS system.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All sensitive data (TIN, SSN, EIN) is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. Passwords are hashed with BCrypt. All communications use HTTPS/TLS. We follow IRS Publication 4557 guidelines for safeguarding taxpayer data.

How many forms can I include in one submission?
There is no practical limit. The IRS allows up to 100MB per transmission, which can hold thousands of forms.
Can I file corrections?
Yes. If the IRS accepted your original filing and you need to make changes, you can file a correction. (Feature coming soon.)
